Kristen Allen

Kristin Allen, a resident of Prattville, Alabama, resides with her husband and four daughters. Originally from Cromwell, MN, Kristin embarked on a diverse career journey that led her to join the Air Force and later relocate to Montgomery, Alabama. Her professional endeavors included serving at Maxwell AFB and Gunter AFB, where she contributed her skills at the Senior Noncommissioned Officers Academy. With a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management and a Master’s in Business Administration, Kristin’s background is both extensive and varied.

Her passion for creativity and craftsmanship flourished during her tenure as a caregiver and events coordinator at Buena Vista Mansion. Here, she ensured that every tour was an immersive experience by meticulously outfitting tour guides in period costumes.

Kristin’s love for sewing became a serious pursuit as her daughters grew older, particularly inspired by their enthusiasm for ballet. Delving into the art of designing, constructing, and fitting tutus, she honed her skills through numerous classes, developing a deep understanding of costume design intricacies.

Driven by her passion and expertise, Kristin founded Classical Tutus by Kristin Allen, transforming her pursuit of costumes into a successful business venture. Her exceptional work at Montgomery Ballet gained nationwide recognition, with dancers from around the country seeking her expertise. Kristin’s costumes have graced stages across the United States at prestigious Youth American Grand Prix competitions, solidifying her reputation as a leading figure in dance costume design. With dedication, creativity, and unwavering commitment to excellence, Kristin continues to leave an indelible mark on the industry with her exquisite creations.
