Montgomery Ballet Welcomes Back Kaitlin Kimm for June 13th-17th of Summer Camp!
Kaitlin Kimm was born and raised in Urbandale, Iowa where she trained in the Pre-Professional Program at Capital City Dance Center under the direction of Melissa and Emery Uyehara. In addition, Ms. Kimm has attended or been accepted into many prestigious summer dance programs including American Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet and Joffrey Ballet.
Kaitlin began her professional career with the Montgomery Ballet where she danced from 2013-2015. She had the pleasure of dancing a variety of both classical and contemporary repertoire. Some of her favorite roles include: Nymph in The Sleeping Beauty, Gypsy in Don Quixote, as well as both Clara and The Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker.
During her time in Montgomery, Ms. Kimm also enjoyed teaching on faculty for the Montgomery Ballet School, as well as the Centre for Performing Arts in Prattville, Alabama. Kaitlin was happy to teach Creative Movement through advanced level ballet students, jazz technique and all levels of tap within the Montgomery Ballet School.
Kaitlin is currently dancing with the Ballet Theatre of Maryland under the direction of Dianna Cuatto in Annapolis, Maryland where she will also be joining the school faculty this coming season. Ms. Kimm strives to attain a strong focus on classical ballet technique and discipline from her students, while at the same time cultivating artistry and individuality within each child to allow them to reach their full potential.
She is very excited to be back in Montgomery to share her love of dance with Montgomery Ballet students this summer from June 13th-17th!
