2024 Summer Intensives

Join Montgomery Ballet’s School for their 2024 ballet bootcamp! Get back in shape for the 2024-2025 season with a week of ballet, jazz, conditioning, and more!

Housing is available upon request, and need-based scholarships are available.

2024 Intensive Dates:

  • July 22-26: Beginner/Intermediate Level (Pre-ballet & Ballet 1, Ages 3-8) from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
  • July 29-August 2: Advanced Level (Ballet 2 & Ballet 3, Ages 8+) from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Cost: $400 per session

Beginner/Intermediate Level Sample Schedule:

  • 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Ballet Technique
  • 11:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Stretch & Strengthen
  • 12:15 p.m. – 1 p.m. Music / Ballet Videos

Advanced Level Sample Schedule:

  • 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Ballet Technique
  • 11:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Variations / Pointe / Pas de Deux
  • 12:15 p.m. – 1 p.m. Jazz / Hip Hop / Contemporary / Conditioning

Atlanta, GA – Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Metropolitan Ballet Theatre (875 N Main St suite 354, Alpharetta, GA 30004) – Advanced Level Registration from 1-1:30 p.m. EST, Advanced Level Audition from 1:30-3 p.m. EST – Beginner/Intermediate Level Registration from 3-3:30 p.m. EST, Beginner/Intermediate Level Audition from 3:30-5 p.m. EST

Birmingham, AL – Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Alabama Ballet (2726 1st Ave S, Birmingham, AL 35233) – Advanced Level Registration from 1-1:30 p.m. CST, Advanced Level Audition from 1:30-3 p.m. CST – Beginner/Intermediate Level Registration from 3-3:30 p.m. CST, Beginner/Intermediate Level Audition from 3:30-5 p.m. CST

Montgomery, AL – Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Montgomery Ballet’s temporary location (Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 1721 Mt. Meigs Road, Montgomery, AL 36107) – Advanced Level Registration from 2:30-3 p.m. CST, Advanced Level Audition from 3-4:15 p.m. CST – Beginner/Intermediate Level Registration from 4:15-4:30 p.m. CST, Beginner/Intermediate Level Audition from 4:30-5:45 p.m. CST

*In-person audition dates are highly recommended. However, if you are unable to attend an in-person audition date, please email info@montgomeryballet.org to discuss an alternative solution.

Day of Audition: Please wear classical ballet attire. For advanced summer intensive/company auditionees, please bring pointe shoes if applicable. If you have not pre-registered, please bring your headshot, first arabesque, resume/CV, and $20 audition fee via cash or check made out to Montgomery Ballet.

    I am aware that dancing (and the physical movement associated with it) places stress on the body and carries with it the risk of physical injury. On behalf of my child, I assume the risk and agree that the Montgomery Ballet shall not be liable in any way for injuries sustained during attendance at this audition and summer intensive, its successors and its assignees for all personal injuries caused by, or arising from, the above described activities or any activities related thereto.

    Photography and Media: Occasionally, students are interviewed by journalists and media crews to promote activities of the Academy and Company. In signing this form, I give permission for an indefinite period of time for my child, (myself if over 18), to be photographed, filmed, and/or interviewed in a Montgomery Ballet supervised environment for the sole purpose of promotions for the Montgomery Ballet.
