Savannah Norwood
Company Dancer
Savannah Norwood hails from Southeastern Wisconsin and boasts an impressive background in both dance and physical therapy. Graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Saint Francis, she holds degrees in Dance and Physical Therapist Assistant Studies. Savannah is a licensed and actively practicing physical therapist assistant in the state of Alabama, with a particular focus on treating the dance population and neurological conditions.
Her journey in dance began at the age of three at Lake Shore Dance in Port Washington, WI, where she received comprehensive training in various styles. She excelled as a member of their studio company and competed on their pre-professional team. Savannah’s passion for teaching and choreography also blossomed during her time at Lake Shore Dance, where she served on the student faculty from the age of sixteen.
Upon graduating from high school, Savannah pursued her dance studies with a focus on ballet at the Fort Wayne Ballet Conservatory at the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Here, she had the privilege of training alongside the school and professional company of Fort Wayne Ballet, participating in performances such as The Sleeping Beauty, Spooktacular, and The Nutcracker. Additionally, she showcased her choreographic talents by creating works for her peers.
Savannah further honed her skills through prestigious summer intensives at Aria Ballet Intensive, Joffrey Ballet New York, Milwaukee Ballet, and Fort Wayne Ballet. With a wealth of experience and a dedication to both dance and physical therapy, Savannah is thrilled to embark on her second season with Montgomery Ballet, eager to contribute her expertise and passion to the company’s artistic endeavors.
