Company Dancer
Payton Allen’s passion for dance ignited at the tender age of two, embarking on a journey that has taken her through various stages and roles in the world of dance. She honed her skills at the Center for Performing Arts before dedicating seven formative years to CJ’s Dance Factory and the Prattville Ballet in Prattville. Throughout her dance career, Payton has graced the stage in five productions of The Nutcracker, showcasing her versatility in roles such as the Dew Drop Fairy.
Driven by a commitment to excellence, Payton has sought to expand her horizons through summer intensives and dance competitions. Her dedication and talent were recognized with a second-place win in the Classical Ballet Solo Category at the Birmingham Show Stoppers competition, as well as a third overall award at Dance Magic Nationals in Panama City, FL.
Beyond the spotlight, Payton has used her platform to give back to her community. She played a pivotal role in school performances of The Ugly Duckling, addressing issues of bullying and empowering hundreds of children to navigate challenges both in-person and online.
Fueling her ambition with academic pursuits, Payton has already earned 18 college credits and is committed to furthering her education in dance. Having completed her associate degree, she is now poised to embark on the next chapter of her academic journey, pursuing a four-year diploma while continuing to excel in her dance career.
At Montgomery Ballet, Payton’s journey has been one of growth and evolution. Starting as a student, she progressed to become a student trainee before earning her place as a valued company member. Her contributions to the company have been notable, with standout performances in productions such as Bourneville’s Le Conservatoire, Fairies of Sleeping Beauty, Seven Sins, and Carnival of the Animals, among others. Payton’s dedication, talent, and unwavering commitment to her craft continue to enrich the artistic tapestry of Montgomery Ballet, inspiring audiences and fellow dancers alike.
