Cassidy Ransom

Cassidy Ransom is a professional ballet artist joining Montgomery Ballet for her inaugural season. A native of the Southeast, she began her professional career at the age of 18 as a Corps de Ballet member with Ballet Pensacola, where she quickly distinguished herself in featured roles, including the Sylph Soloist in La Sylphide, the Russian Lead in The Nutcracker, and the Corps de Ballet Fairy in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Driven by a commitment to artistic growth, Ms. Ransom furthered her training through prestigious trainee programs with Charlotte Ballet and Milwaukee Ballet. During her tenure with Charlotte Ballet, she performed Snow and Waltz Corps in The Nutcracker and was selected for the coveted “Russian Girl” Lead in George Balanchine’s Serenade, staged by the legendary Patricia McBride—a testament to her technical precision and stage presence.

Beyond her performance career, Ms. Ransom is a dedicated educator and emerging choreographer. She has taught ballet to students ages 3 through 18 at esteemed institutions including Charlotte Ballet, Dance Fusion of Harrisburg, Peachtree City Ballet (where she also served as Rehearsal Director), and Georgia Academy of Dance. Her passion for choreography was recognized early when she was selected as one of only four students to present original work in Charlotte Ballet’s student choreography showcase. Her piece, Dissonance, marked her professional choreographic debut and uniquely merged contemporary dance with mental health awareness—a subject she pursues academically as a current Psychology major at Clayton State University.

This season, Cassidy is thrilled to join the ranks of Montgomery Ballet, where she looks forward to expanding her repertoire, deepening her artistry, and contributing to the vibrant cultural landscape of the Montgomery community.
