Musical Theater Workshop

Montgomery Ballet is holding a Musical Theater Workshop with Thaddeus Morris on February 12th through 14th, 2016. Dancers ages 8 and older are welcome to register. The registration deadline is February 10th, 2016. .

The workshop is $100. Discounts are available for Montgomery Ballet students and early enrollment. Early enrollment ends on February 5th, 2016.

The workshop will be held at Montgomery Ballet studios located at 2101 Eastern Boulevard, Suite 223, Montgomery, Alabama 36117.

Musical Workshop Schedule at Montgomery Ballet

Friday, February 12th, 2016 – 5:00pm-7:00pm

  • Audition Workshop: Learn how to stand out at your next audition.
  • Choreography: Students will be cast in their roles for our Sunday showcase and begin learning choreography.

Saturday, February 13th, 2016- 12:00pm – 4:00pm

  • Students will continue to learn their role and choreography for the Sunday showcase.

Sunday, February 14th, 2016- 1:00pm-3:00pm

  • Final rehearsal for the showcase
  • Performance showcase, 3:30pm-4:oopm (parents welcome to attend)

About Our Guest Instructor, Thaddeus Morris

Thaddeus Morris, a graduate of Belhaven University with a BFA in Musical Theater, is from San Antonio, Texas. His latest theatrical appearances include the portrayals of Cain and Japeth in Children of Eden. Other professional performances include Guest Artist appearances in The Nutcracker with Mejia Ballet International, Snow White with San Antonio Metropolitan Ballet, as well as work with Twin City Ballet in Louisiana. Thaddeus has experience in a variety of roles; his roles in productions range from Jesus in Godspell to Damis in Tartuffe, as well as various roles in Curtains, Ice Island, The Drunkard, Henry V and Into the Woods. Thaddeus is also involved in other aspects of production, such as lighting, sound design and set construction, making him quite the well-rounded performer. Thaddeus would like to thank the Montgomery Ballet for this opportunity to teach and share his talents and knowledge with the next generation.
