Meet Samantha Ayala Amaya, Montgomery Ballet Summer Camp

Samantha Ayala Amaya began studying dance at the age of four in Mexico City. She has trained under the direction of Susan Connally, Karin Connally Heiden, and Joseph and Laura Villalobos.

Samantha has participated in productions such as “Cinderella”, “Hansel and Gretel”, “La Boutique Fantasque”, and The Royal Ballet’s “The Sleeping Beauty”. She has also danced the title role in San Antonio Metropolitan Ballet’s “Snow White”. More recently, she has performed with the Montgomery Ballet professional company in their productions of “Ballet and the Beast’s: Into the Wild”, “The Nutcracker” , and “Messiah” in Montgomery, Alabama.

When she is not teaching, Miss Ayala Amaya enjoys volunteering at her former high school, and teaching dance to special needs children via Dance Elan. She currently attends college and is looking forward to her continued work with the Montgomery Ballet.
