Community Outreach Programs
Dance-On-Site
In 2017, we launched the Dance-On-Site program. Thanks to the city, we were able to teach dance to students at E.D. Nixon Elementary for one hour a week. The program was a great success, with nearly half of the students being admitted to magnet programs for dance.
The only cost to the students is $35 a year to cover costumes. Thanks to the generous donations of Hyundai, we are able to extend this program to Highland Gardens Elementary.
The students not only get uniforms and shoes, but they get to perform in the school recital to get the full theatre experience. The total value of this per student is $650.
LEAP: Linking Education & Art Performances
As the official performing dance company of the City of Montgomery, The Montgomery Ballet offers the Linking Education & Art Performances (LEAP) School Performances during the season. LEAP provides deeply discounted tickets for local schools, children’s organizations and homeschool groups so students can attend our performances.

Adopt a Dancer
